🥄 ARK Spoon Tip is a spoon attachment that turns any Z-Vibe® tool into a sensory feeding aid. It was designed by feeding therapist and speech-language pathologist Debbie Lowsky (MS, CCC-SLP) to make feeding simple and food easy to remove from the spoon with the lips. The size and shape of the bowl are just right: it holds an appropriate amount of food, but cannot be overloaded.
✨ What does this tip develop?
- Oral awareness – together with the Z-Vibe® vibration it helps “wake up” the mouth before and during a meal;
- Lips, tongue, cheeks and jaw – the vibration stimulates every area involved in eating;
- Spoon-feeding skills – the child learns to accept the spoon and clear food from it;
- The move to new textures – suits sensory feeding programmes, starting with purées.
🎲 How to use it at home
Screw the tip onto the Z-Vibe® handle and scoop up a little puréed food – yoghurt, applesauce or first-stage baby food. Offer the spoon without vibration first and switch it on once the child is comfortable. The tip can also be used without food – gently touch the lips, tongue or cheeks before a meal.
🧑🏫 Tips for specialists
The Spoon Tip is a handy tool for a sensory mealtime treatment plan. According to ARK, these tips have helped many therapists and parents get tube-fed children onto their first solid foods. This version is small and smooth: intended for infants and toddlers and best suited to puréed foods. It fits the standard Z-Vibe® or Z-Grabber handle.
📦 What’s included and specifications
- 1 yellow Spoon Tip (small, smooth surface);
- Tip size – about 7.6 × 1.9 cm, spoon bowl – about 3.6 × 1.9 cm;
- Medical-grade material;
- Made in the USA (in ARK Therapeutic’s own factory in Columbia, South Carolina);

Important: the Z-Vibe® handle is sold separately – the tip is not used without it. The photos also show a larger orange tip for comparison – it is not included with this item.
👶 Who is it for?
This is a therapeutic tool, not a toy: it contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard, so it is used only under the direct supervision of a specialist or parent. Intended for infants and toddlers who need extra oral stimulation while learning to eat from a spoon – as recommended by a speech therapist, occupational therapist or feeding therapist.
