🎯 Herbivore or predator? Does it live in the air, on land or in the water? “The Animal World: Discover and Classify” is a game in which children explore the variety of animal life with spinning wheels and learn to sort animals by diet, habitat, reproduction and skeleton. Learning turns into a real investigative adventure here.
✨ What does this game develop?
- Logical thinking and classification – animals are grouped by several features at once;
- Attention and concentration – among 84 real images you have to find the right ones;
- Vocabulary – herbivore, carnivore, omnivore, vertebrate… the concepts stick through play;
- Respect for the living world – meeting the variety of animals grows the wish to protect it.
🎲 How to play at home?
The child spins the wheels and searches the round cards for animals that match the feature that came up – for example, “lives in water and is a predator”. Play it in a group: who can find more matching animals? Once one is found, discuss why the animal belongs to that very group – here the reasoning is worth more than the speed.
🧑🏫 Tips for professionals
For primary teachers this is a ready-made science lesson on animal classification. For speech and language therapists the wheels and cards suit categorising, generalising and explanatory language practice – skills directly tied to the development of thinking and speech. The large number of cards makes it easy to differentiate tasks according to each child’s level.
📦 What is in the set?
- 6 cardboard spinning wheels (10 cm);
- 86 round cards with real photographs (4,7 cm).
Note: the game instructions may be in Spanish, but the game is simple to follow and the clear pictures let you start playing straight away.
👶 Who is it for?
Recommended from 5 years. Perfect for pre-schoolers and primary pupils, for nature clubs and for every little explorer who can talk about animals for hours.
