🏗️ What stands in front, and what behind? “Eduludo – Spacio” is a Djeco game in which the child has to recreate the picture on a card by placing the figures on a wooden board so that they hide one another exactly as they do in the photograph. It is one of the best ways to grasp perspective.
✨ What does this game develop?
- Spatial awareness – “in front of”, “behind” and “between” become tangible;
- An understanding of perspective – the same scene looks different from the other side;
- Logical thinking – the whole has to be rebuilt from partial information;
- Independent self-checking – the solution is on the back of the card.
🎲 How to play at home
The child takes a card and arranges the figures on the board until the view matches the picture. Turning the card over, they check themselves. Once all 20 cards have been mastered, invite them to arrange the figures themselves and draw how they look from your side – it will suddenly become clear that you are seeing different things.
🧑🏫 Tips for specialists
A rare aid that works directly on perspective-taking – the ability to understand that someone else sees things differently. It suits visual-spatial perception practice, and also language work with prepositions of place (in front of, behind, next to, between). We recommend asking the child to explain in words where they are putting a figure before they place it.
