🎯 Which behaviour is right, and which one hurts? “Positive attitudes: tolerance and cooperation” is an educational game in which children look at four pictures on each board and mark the unacceptable behaviour with a cross. A simple action, but it sets off the most important process of all – a conversation about how we treat one another.
✨ What does this game nurture?
- Tolerance and respect – the child learns to recognise hurtful behaviour;
- Cooperation – you discuss how to act together rather than against one another;
- Empathy and social skills – the situations are examined from the other person’s side;
- Language and reasoning – “this behaviour is not right, because…”
🎲 How to play at home?
Look at a board together: three pictures show kind behaviour, one does not. The child places the cross counter on the wrong one and explains why. The most important part comes afterwards, in the questions: have you ever seen behaviour like this? How did that child feel? What could you do? Do not moralise – let the child reach the conclusion themselves.
🧑🏫 Tips for professionals
For teachers and psychologists this is a ready-made social and emotional learning activity: the boards suit class discussions, work in small groups and one-to-one conversations, when a particular incident needs discussing at the safe distance of a “third person”. For speech and language therapists, judging the situations gives a natural opening for causal sentences and for the language of expressing an opinion. It pairs with the “Anti-Bullying Posters” for a broader prevention programme.
📦 What is in the set?
- 12 sturdy cardboard boards with 4 pictures on each (15 × 15 cm);
- 12 round cross counters for marking unacceptable behaviour.
Note: the game instructions may be in Spanish, but the game is simple to follow and the clear pictures let you start playing straight away.
👶 Who is it for?
Recommended from 5 years. For families, pre-school nursery groups, schools and psychologists’ rooms – a game that helps raise children who are not only clever but good.
