“Surprise Farm” is a first puzzle that is fun not only to put together but also to explore. 12 large cardboard pieces form a bright farm scene with a red barn and its residents, while 8 soft felt flaps hide surprises: lifting a flap, the child discovers what is hidden underneath. The finished puzzle measures 48 × 55 cm – easy to assemble on the floor together with an adult or friends.
✨ What it develops
- Fine motor skills – the large pieces and felt flaps train finger movements and grasping.
- Hand-eye coordination – the child matches gaze and movement while finding the right place for each piece.
- Logical thinking – learning to recognise shapes and join parts into a whole.
- Language and vocabulary – after opening a flap it is fun to name the animal, imitate its sound and make up short stories about the farm.
- Touch and curiosity – the soft felt and the surprise effect encourage exploring and keep attention longer.
🎲 How to play
- Put the 12 large pieces together – a farm scene appears.
- Lift the felt flaps and discover what is hidden underneath.
- Name the animals, imitate their sounds and invent a story about the farm.
🧑🏫 Tips for specialists
The puzzle suits speech therapy sessions (animal names, sound words, “who?” and “where?” questions), early years groups and children who need more sensory experiences. Opening a flap is a natural prompt to talk and to wait for one’s turn.
