🎯 How would you feel if you won a competition? And if your favourite toy broke? “Emotional Situations: How Would You Feel If…?” is a game with photographs of real-life situations that invites children to recognise, name and accept emotions. Its most important lesson: we are all different, and in the very same situation we can feel differently.
✨ What does this game develop?
- Emotional intelligence – recognising emotions in real situations;
- Empathy and social skills – learning to listen and to respect a different feeling;
- Language for feelings – “I would be sad, because…” – talking about emotions becomes ordinary;
- Logical thinking – linking a situation with a feeling.
🎲 How to play at home?
Roll the die, look at the situation that comes up and share: how would you feel in it? Answer yourself as well – it is enormously valuable for a child to hear that grown-ups also feel fear, anger or worry. If family members answer differently, all the better: it is a perfect chance to talk about why the same event stirs different feelings in each of us.
🧑🏫 Tips for professionals
For psychologists this is ready-made material for individual and group social and emotional learning sessions: the real photographs provoke lively answers, while the die gives the game its structure. For speech and language therapists, discussing the situations naturally develops connected speech and conditional sentences (“if…, then…”). For teachers it is a valuable aid for class discussions about feelings and relationships.
📦 What is in the set?
- 36 sturdy cardboard cards with real photographs (10,5 × 7 cm);
- 6 round cards (7,5 cm);
- 1 large die made of recyclable plastic (3,5 cm edge).
Note: the game instructions may be in Spanish, but the game is simple to follow and the clear pictures let you start playing straight away.
👶 Who is it for?
Recommended from 3 years. A valuable aid for families, nurseries, psychologists and speech and language therapists. A game that grows empathy – one situation, one conversation at a time.
