These interactive sensory tiles are a unique aid that brings together light therapy, the dynamics of liquid and active movement. Every step onto a tile sets the colourful liquid moving and switches on bright LED lighting, so children are motivated to move, explore and hold their balance as they play.
✨ What it develops
- Balance and coordination – walking across the tiles calls for precise movements, careful distribution of body weight and constant control.
- Sensory awareness – the bright, dynamic colours, the moving liquid and the response of the light stimulate the visual system and the sense of touch.
- Concentration – watching the liquid shift and the light effects under their feet, children hold their attention on the task for longer.
- Gross motor skills – active movement from one tile to the next strengthens the leg muscles and improves overall body mobility.
- Understanding cause and effect – the child learns that their action (stepping on) causes an immediate visual response in their surroundings.
🎯 Where it is used
This equipment is ideal for nurseries, primary schools and special education settings. It is indispensable in sensory rooms and in speech therapy or occupational therapy rooms, where the aim is to create a calming yet stimulating environment. The aid also suits rehabilitation centres working with children who have developmental or sensory integration disorders, to encourage their physical activity.
