🥤 The ARK Flexi Cut-Out Cup™ set – all three sizes of the flexible therapeutic cup with a nose cut-out (the “nosey cup”) in one box: small, medium and large. The cut-out lets the child drink without tipping the head back, and the flexible body lets you control the flow of liquid by squeezing. The complete progression from the first sips to independent drinking.
✨ What makes this set special?
- Drinking without tipping the head back – the cup is tilted while the head stays in its natural position;
- The nose cut-out – the adult can see the movements of the lips and tongue, which makes teaching easier;
- A flexible body – squeeze the sides gently and the flow is controlled;
- 3 sizes – a clear progression – from ~30 ml for learning to ~200 ml for everyday drinking.
🎲 How to use it at home
Start with the smallest cup and a small amount of liquid – that way the child learns to control the sip and you can see how the lips and tongue are working. As the skill grows firmer, move on to the medium and then the large cup. If the flow is too fast, squeeze the sides of the cup gently.
🧑🏫 Tips for specialists
A set of three sizes keeps the whole progression of drinking skills within reach: the small one (~30 ml) for first attempts and precise dosing, the medium (~60 ml) as the skill strengthens, the large (~200 ml) for functional drinking. The nose cut-out lets you observe the oral phase without changing the client’s head position – valuable when working with dysphagia or limited neck mobility. Individual sizes can also be bought singly – see ARK Flexi Cut-Out Cup™.
