🧱 14 wooden blocks that have to be stacked at just the right angle – otherwise the whole structure comes down. “Ze Stakaboom” is a Djeco construction and balancing game in which the child recreates the shape shown on a card and discovers for themselves why some structures stand and others do not.
✨ What does this game develop?
- The concept of balance and weight – abstract physics, experienced with the hands;
- Spatial thinking – a two-dimensional card has to become a three-dimensional structure;
- Planning – you have to work out which block to place first;
- Precision of movement – the last block punishes any rushing.
🎲 How to play at home
Pick a challenge card and copy the shape. The cards are double-sided and the difficulty comes in three levels, so even a three-year-old can start. Once all the shapes have been mastered, invite your child to invent their own structure and draw it as a new “card” for the family.
🧑🏫 Tips for specialists
A valuable aid for visual-spatial perception and sequence planning tasks. The child has to analyse the model, break it down into steps and carry them out in the right order – which exercises executive function. We recommend naming the actions out loud (“I’m putting a flat one down, then an upright one”) – that strengthens verbal control of movement too.
📦 What’s in the set
- 14 wooden blocks;
- 1 wooden animal figure;
- 10 double-sided challenge cards (3 levels of difficulty);
- French Djeco design.
👶 Who is it for?
